It is our mission to provide preschool children with the means to explore their world and develop their identities. We believe that every child is special and deserves a safe, nurturing environment in which to grow and learn. We will provide a variety of activities designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
We know that preschool is an important time in a child’s life, and we are committed to providing the best possible experience for each and every child in our care.
At Little Village Preschool our experienced teaching staff will welcome your child into our spacious, bright, thoughtfully designed classroom. Our space invites the exploration of a wide-variety of open-ended learning materials.
Our classroom allows opportunities for students to learn and socialize through dramatic and creative play as well as structured learning centers. Class extends outside the classroom walls, with our own outdoor space to explore nature.
We offer a quality early education program that prioritizes social-emotional growth, confidence building and kindergarten readiness.
The curriculum at Little Village Preschool is based on our knowledge that children learn best when they are happy, engaged and feel supported in their learning. We take a structured play approach which allows children to build early language and learning skills, while becoming accustomed to the structure and routine of school.
Our units of study will include a wide variety of interesting subject matter, while incorporating nature, hands on science and math, literature, music and art. Our teachers strive to build strong relationships with each child, allowing us to cater our curriculum to the student’s interests.
We want every child to enter kindergarten with a foundational lifetime love of learning!
Little Village Preschool adopts a 10 month school year that runs from September to June, following the public school calendar’s holidays and breaks. Classes run 5 days a week, 2.5 hours per class, with options for morning or afternoon enrollment.
Our low teacher-to-student ratios ensure that each and every child receives the guidance and support that they need to expand not only their knowledge, but also their confidence and self-worth.
Research shows that inter-generational settings can lead to increased engagement, socialization, improved physical health, and emotional support for seniors and children alike. Activities such as ‘Story time at the Village’ and Baking Club are just a couple of opportunities we offer for residents to share their wisdom and encourage mutual cross-generational sharing of talents, skills, experiences, and energy.
With a team of dedicated and experienced educators, our preschool is excited to provide your child with an unforgettable experience.
Your little ones will be immersed in culture as they learn about different languages while exploring their own identity through music programs that cater specifically for each child’s needs!
