The Freedom & Flexibility of Aging at Home
Creative Outlets
Everyone has a creative side! Inspire and express yourself in different ways through music, hands-on activities, design, technology, and so on. There’s something for everyone!
Village Connect, by Harbour Landing Village, promotes independence and supports seniors’ desire to live at home as long as possible by providing a proactive and holistic approach to health and wellness that fosters physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, cognitive and social well-being.
The premise of Village Connect was born out of the fact that most seniors want to remain independent and at home as long as possible. ‘Aging in place’ may be the desire for many seniors, however certain physical, emotional or cognitive factors may not always line up to make that happen without a variety of challenges.
While certain health conditions can be managed with quality care, without addressing the effects of social isolation, loneliness or proper nutrition, seniors are at higher risks for a variety of physical and mental conditions.
Our program was inspired by our unique Harbour Landing Village values which enable our residents to live life to the fullest by emphasizing productive engagement, social connection, physical activity and nutrition in a welcoming and caring environment — all with the goal to help them live at home as long as possible.
